Influence of hepatitis on potency
Hepatitis is a diffuse inflammatory pathology that affects liver cells. This common disease of the gastrointestinal tract occurs in an acute or chronic form. The disease can be caused by various negative factors that damage the tissues of the internal organ. Functional pathology is always the cause of the destruction of the liver parenchyma
Hepatitis Symptoms
The severity of the symptoms of the disease depends on its cause, stage and form of the course. The development of an organic disorder in the area of the digestive organs can be recognized by the following external signs of hepatitis:
- jaundice. There is a change in the color of the skin on the face, sclera and mucous membranes (yellowing). The color of the urine darkens, and the stool brightens. In severe cases, doctors can observe noticeable changes in skin color with pronounced yellowness on the sclera, which reaches a bronze or lemon shade. The condition is accompanied by itchy skin;
- pain syndrome. The pains are pulling, aching in nature and are localized in the right hypochondrium. Unpleasant sensations are given to the right shoulder blade and right shoulder. Doctors associate the presence of pain with stretching of the superficial connective tissue membrane of the liver. Additional discomfort occurs due to a progressive inflammatory process;
- a slight increase in the patient's body temperature;
- signs of liver failure. Dysfunction of an internal organ, as a rule, is accompanied by increased bleeding and a tendency to bruise. The patient can suffer from ascites when a significant amount of organic fluid accumulates in the abdominal cavity. The consequence of liver tissue necrosis is complete dysfunction of the organ, which ceases to take part in the digestive, metabolic and filtration processes;
- general weakness and lethargy, loss of previous physical and intellectual activity, as well as increased fatigue and decreased performance.
Complications of hepatitis
Failure to provide assistance to a patient with hepatitis at an early stage of the course of the pathology can provoke a number of severe consequences that cause the risk of impotence and an immediate danger to the patient's life. Among the traditional complications that occur against the background of hepatitis, doctors call:
- cirrhosis of the liver, that is, complete and irreversible replacement of the liver tissue with fibrous formations
- liver failure, when an internal organ ceases to take part in the body's work
- hepatic encephalopathy. The condition is characterized by severe damage to brain cells, can flow into a hepatic coma
- extensive internal bleeding caused by the expansion of the venous walls of the esophageal mucosa
The development of the described conditions negatively affects the patient's well-being. He is tormented by constant pain and itching, chronic fatigue appears. Hepatitis damages sexual health and reduces erectile ability. The strength and duration of an erection gradually decreases, the patient loses the desire to have sexual contacts. The rate of onset of organic impotence depends on the type of disease. Each type of hepatitis has a different length of incubation period, in particular:
- hepatitis A - up to 1 month
- hepatitis B - up to 6 months
- hepatitis C - up to 1 year
During the indicated intervals, the penetration and imperceptible multiplication of viral agents in the body occurs.
Reasons for onset of liver damage
The risk of developing diffuse inflammatory pathology is significantly increased when:
