Infertility
The normal release and maturation of spermatozoa (spermatogenesis) is the main factor in a man's ability to conceive a child. Sperm is produced thanks to the work of three hormones. The FSH hormone stimulates the testicles to produce seminal fluid, and the LH hormone is involved in the production of the third important hormone testosterone, which is necessary for the maturation of spermatozoa.
How conception happens
Fresh, unripened seminal fluid matures, and gradually spermatozoa gain mobility. In the seminal canal, they patiently wait for ejaculation. During unprotected intercourse, spermatozoa enter the woman's vagina and remain alive there for 48-72 hours. Within 2-3 days, the sperm can fertilize the egg. If a woman ovulates during this period, conception is inevitable. Therefore, those wishing to have a baby are strongly advised to plan sexual intercourse every 2-3 days during ovulation.
The process of fertilization
In order for fertilization to occur successfully, sperm must be produced in sufficient quantities and be mobile. However, even with a small amount of semen, a man is able to conceive a child if his spermatozoa have high mobility.
Male infertility
Male infertility is formed in the presence of a small volume of sperm, low mobility and pathologies in the structure of spermatozoa. Additionally, the causes of Male infertility are: varicocele - testicular varicose veins, obstruction of the genital organs, problems with erection and ejaculation, the use of potent drugs, bad habits, congenital and acquired pathologies of the structure and function of the testicles.
Methods of treatment
Treatment of male infertility is carried out by conservative, surgical or alternative methods. Prescribe antibacterial drugs, a means to relieve inflammation and sedatives. Surgically, congenital physiological pathologies and the consequences of past injuries and diseases are eliminated. As an alternative treatment, IVF clinics offer a range of services.
