Is It Possible To Enlarge The Penis

To increase the penis, various methods are used to lengthen or increase the girth of a man's penis. They can be divided into:

  • surgery
  • physical traction
  • tablets
  • creams and ointments

Operation

Surgery is the most scientifically based way to increase the penis in men. All other methods are generally considered unproven.

Surgical methods for penis enlargement include:

  • suspensory ligament incision
  • penile injection

The suspensory ligament of the male penis is located at the base of the pubic bone and plays a role in maintaining the penis. This ligament draws the penis inward during the relaxed state of the reproductive organ. Ligament dissection has been shown to increase the flaccid length of the penis by about 2-4 cm, but the overall increase in erect length is less pronounced. The operation is also known to cause difficulty in positioning the penis during penetration, primarily due to changes in the angle of erection. Some patients also reported erectile dysfunction and loss of glans sensation.

The process of regeneration of ligamentous tissues is quite fast. Considering this, the patient must wear a stretching extender for several months to consolidate the result. If this is not done, then everything will return "to normal".

Another direction of penis enlargement is the injection method. It promotes thickening by filling the soft tissues of the penis with a filler fluid (hyaluronic acid, petroleum jelly, various oils or silicone), which is injected subcutaneously. As a result of such an injection, the penis becomes thicker by 1-2 cm in girth, the effect lasts for a year and a half.

While fillers such as silicone and oil give the penis a more imposing appearance, its shape can look unnatural. The American Urological Association considers both the dissection of the suspensory ligament and filler injections to be ineffective and even unsafe

Extenders

Another method of using traction extenders and stretchers to increase the length of the penis is also considered dangerous, and its effectiveness is unproven. Excessive tension can cause permanent traumatic damage to the penis.

Creams and tablets

To date, not a single cream or medicine, no matter what their creators claim, can withstand scientific tests. Penile supplements can be found in tablets, patches, creams, and ointments. Analysis of such products typically reveals the following ingredients: pharmaceuticals, vitamins, minerals, hormones, and herbs. There is no scientific basis for claims by sellers of such drugs to increase the size of the penis.

Rave customer reviews can be explained by the placebo effect and are usually anecdotal. Consuming supplements that contain vitamins and safe herbs generally carries no risk. However, counterfeit drugs with steroids, hormones, or drugs such as sildenafil (the active ingredient in Viagra) will be dangerous for patients with contraindications. Such as heart disease and prostate cancer.

Micropenis is the only reason

The International Society for the Study of Sexual Medicine has determined that micropenis patients are the only group eligible for surgery. Micropenis is diagnosed only in men with an erect penis less than 7 cm long. It is believed that it occurs in 0.6% of the stronger sex.

The same report highlights that men with an average or slightly below average penis size who undergo surgery "are detrimental to both physical and mental health".

According to the study, "Overall surgical outcomes were poor, with low levels of satisfaction and significant major complications, including penile deformity and regression."
