Indications for taking Trittico

Urologists prescribe to men with symptoms of inferior, weakened or short-term erections a course of antidepressant treatment if detected:

  • anxiety-depressive states. Pathology can be expressed in the form of involutional depression, which occurs in older patients. It is formed under the influence of factors of an endogenous nature, that is, the natural aging processes of the body (thinning of blood vessels and a decrease in skin tone, weakening of vision and hearing, impairment of memory and thinking abilities, a decrease in testosterone production or sperm quality). In this state, men suffer from an inability to think positively;
  • psychogenic depression. The pathological condition occurs under the influence of prolonged or single-shot reactive and neurotic determinants. The disease can be the result of the patient's personality traits (pedantic traits, timidity and suspiciousness, sensitivity and impressionability), changes or complete loss of significant values, loss of a loved one or family member. Patients with psychogenic depression are distinguished by excessive fixation on the traumatic fact that has occurred. The man is in intense and constant inner tension. There is mental retardation, difficulty concentrating, obsessive thoughts about one's own worthlessness, hopelessness and meaninglessness of life;
  • anxiety-depressive states. Deviations occur after organic diseases of the central nervous system. As a rule, such conditions are observed among patients of the stronger sex who have been diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer's disease, atherosclerotic lesions in the vessels of the brain;
  • alcoholic depression. The post-alcoholic state is structurally similar to the bipolar depression phase. Neurotic deviations are a kind of way to deal with emotional stress. Depressive syndrome in dependence on ethanol is complicated by acute or chronic intoxication of the body as a result of prolonged abuse of alcohol. The patient suffers from a lack of active neurotransmitters. These biologically active chemicals are required for the full transmission of nerve impulses, the preservation and maintenance of erectile abilities. Against the background of the toxic effects of ethyl alcohol, the secretion of the neurotransmitter serotonin decreases. Deficiency of the named compound leads to mental disorders, including depression. The patient suffers from depression, apathy and muscle weakness, decreased libido;
  • depressive conditions with severe and prolonged pain syndrome. The condition is characterized by physical and mental exhaustion, melancholy mood and apathetic state, inability to experience pleasure;
  • benzodiazepine addiction;
  • libido and potency disorders.

Pharmacodynamics

Trazodone is derived from triazolopyridine, which has predominantly antidepressant, sedative and anxiolytic properties. After entering the blood serum, the active components of the drug act on the mental and somatic symptoms of anxiety. As a result, the patient manages to cope with internal (irritability and unfounded fear, affective tension and insomnia) and external (head and muscle pain, increased heart rate and sweating, increased urination and hyperventilation) manifestations of the disease. An anti-anxiety agent helps to eliminate problems with falling asleep, improve the quality, depth and duration of sleep. Trazodone stabilizes the emotional state, increases the background of the mood and reduces the craving for alcohol. Pharmacological drug for psychogenic erectile dysfunction does not cause addiction and increase in body weight.It acts on serotonin receptors, inhibits serotonin reuptake.

Pharmacokinetics

The triazolopyridine compound is completely absorbed into the blood serum 1-2 hours after taking the tablet. A drug with an anxiolytic effect should be taken on an empty stomach; when food enters the body, the absorption of the drug decreases. Removal of the drug from the body occurs approximately 98-100 hours after taking the white capsule. The sedative is excreted in urine and bile.

Method of administration and dosage

It is recommended to take an anxiolytic agent 30 minutes or 3 hours after a meal. The tablet is swallowed whole, without dividing it into parts or chewing. The initial dose of Trazodone is set within 100 mg.3 days after the start of drug therapy, the doctor may increase the dosage to 150 mg. In the future, the correction of the amount of triazolopyridine can occur every 3-4 days, depending on the patient's condition. If the daily dose exceeds 150 mg, it is divided into 2 parts, taking light yellow pills in the morning and in the evening. The maximum daily dosage of Trazodone cannot exceed 450 mg. Elderly and debilitated patients take up to 300 mg per day. The recommended daily dose for libido disorders is 50 mg. A drug with an antidepressant effect should not be drunk by men with hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Pills for psychogenic impotence are prescribed with caution to patients with arterial hypertension, AV blockade and ventricular arrhythmias.
