Turtle Meat Does Not Cure Erectile Dysfunction

The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) is unhappy with rumors that Lamu turtles can help cure erectile dysfunction.

There is no evidence that turtle meat helps with impotence

If earlier fishermen killed turtles only for meat, now there are rumors that turtle fat treats asthma, flu and erectile dysfunction, and also protects against severe colds if smeared with this "oil".

The rumors are of great concern to KWS and other conservationists fighting to save the turtles from extinction.

Regarding speculation that turtle meat can cure erectile dysfunction, Charles Mwashigadi, a nutritionist at Lamu County Hospital, says it's simply not true.

"There are many ways to treat asthma, erectile dysfunction and other diseases," he explains. "The healing properties of turtle meat have not been scientifically proven."

How to treat erectile dysfunction

Men who are looking for scientific ways to treat their erectile dysfunction can benefit from ED drugs such as Cialis.

Cialis is one of the best-selling ED medications in the world, and unlike turtle meat, its effectiveness has been backed up by independent scientific studies. They prove that this remedy helps more than 80% of men with erectile dysfunction.

Although Cialis may have some side effects such as flushing, back or muscle pain, headaches, indigestion and nasal congestion, most men tolerate the inconvenience well enough to continue taking the drug.

Unfortunately, not everyone can take Cialis and its analogues for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. This applies to men who have problems with blood pressure, as well as those who take alpha-blockers.

In addition, men who take nitrates, suffer from kidney disease, liver disease or retinitis pigmentosa and have had a heart attack or stroke in the past 6 months should consult a doctor before taking Cialis.
