Erectile dysfunction: facts and fiction
As the saying goes: "Ignorance of the truth does not prevent it from being the truth." This can be attributed to health issues, including such a phenomenon as erectile dysfunction.
Hypertension contributes to impotence
Many men refuse to take hypertension medications because they have heard that they cause erectile dysfunction.
This is a fact. Some drugs used to treat hypertension can cause sexual weakness, but hypertension itself contributes to ED, even without medication.
Many patients first become aware that they have hypertension when they seek help for erection problems. Failure to take medication due to fear of impotence can lead to stroke, kidney failure, and even death.
The reason is that during ejaculation, blood pressure rises sharply, and after a few seconds it returns to normal. That is, if a man already has high blood pressure and then he ejaculates, the pressure gets higher.
Very high blood pressure can lead to stroke and death. This explains why sometimes men die during intercourse. It is unprofessional to treat erectile dysfunction if the patient's hypertension is not controlled.
Sex in retirement
Some men refuse sex because they think it will negatively affect their health due to age. In fact, it's rather the opposite. Sexual activity makes older people live longer and healthier.
Regular sexual activity also strengthens the immune system needed to fight infections. And these are just some of the advantages.
Your retirement age matters for work, but not for sex.
My wife is going through menopause, so I can forget about sex
This is one of the biggest mistakes men make. They believe that their wives have lost interest in intimate relationships because they don't complain. But who knows what your other half says behind your back?
With regard to menopause, women can be divided into three groups:
- the first group loses interest after menopause
- the second group retains the same attraction as at a young age
- the third group has an increase in sexuality even after menopause
You can't tell which group a woman belongs to by facial expressions or conversations. So forget your doubts and don't use your wife as an excuse.

Penile Implant Surgery Makes Sex Unnatural
Penile implant patients are people whose sexual possibilities are endless.
When they show their dignity, there is nothing that distinguishes them from other men. There are four types of sexual dysfunction known to exist:
- decreased libido
- ejaculation disorders
- erection problems
- lack of orgasm
A penile implant only corrects erection problems. Thus, if the patient's libido was normal before the operation, it will remain the same after the operation.
My husband doesn't love me like he used to because I have a hard time turning him on
Women should understand that every husband's birthday marks a two percent drop in testosterone levels. This hormone is responsible for all of the sexual functions listed above.
So with the age of a man, the situation will never be the same, his sexual abilities are declining. Just support him, don't criticize. But it should never "stop".
Too old?
Age has never been a determining factor in the treatment of erectile dysfunction. Enough to do basic physical activity. It is not uncommon for a 40-year-old man to need treatment for impotence due to poor health, and a 90-year-old may still be so strong that it would be premature to write him off.
