Massage Of The Prostate With Seminal Vesicles

Massage in urology

Massage in urology is used in the treatment of patients with chronic prostatitis, vesiculitis, littreitis, as well as chronic inflammation of the Cooper glands in order to remove inflammation products from the cavities of the glands, stimulate impaired secretion of the glands, and improve blood and lymph circulation. Massage is carried out along with antibiotic treatment and thermal procedures.

Massage of the prostate gland and seminal vesicles. The position of the patient on the right side with legs bent at the knees and pressed to the stomach. The index finger of the right hand in a glove lubricated with petroleum jelly is slowly inserted into the rectum. After determining the contours of the prostate gland, massage begins. Finger movements should be directed along the excretory ducts - from top to bottom, from outside to inside and from bottom to top towards the interlobar groove. By the end of the procedure, they are pressed 2-3 times from top to bottom along the interlobar groove. At the beginning of treatment, a light massage is performed, in the future, the pressure force of the massaging finger is increased. More vigorously massage the gland of a dense consistency and less vigorously the gland of a soft consistency. massage should not hurt.

Massage of seminal vesicles is recommended to be performed from the right and left from top to bottom. Finish the massage with 2-4 movements from the top of the lobes towards the prostate gland but the midline. Massage of the prostate gland and seminal vesicles is prescribed no more than every other day, no more than 1 - 1% min., Producing 15-20 movements on each lobe of the gland and seminal vesicles; only 10-15 sessions.

Massage of the cooper glands. The patient lies on his back with legs bent at the knees and pressed to the stomach. The index finger of the right hand is inserted into the rectum with the palmar surface up (6). The thumb of the same hand is brought to the gland from the side of the perineum and massaging movements are made in the direction from the anus to the bulbous part of the urethra. Massage for 0.5-1 min. in 1-2 days, the course is 10-15 sessions.

Massage of the glands of Littre. For a patient lying on his back, an appropriately sized straight metal bougie is inserted into the urethra (7). The bougie is fixed with the left hand and the penis is pulled out. The ends of the thumb and forefinger of the right hand produce pressing movements along the lateral and lower walls in the direction from the root of the penis to the external opening of the urethra. The duration of the procedure and the course of treatment are the same as for the massage of the seminal vesicles.

Contraindications to massage of each of these organs are all acute diseases of the genitourinary system, acute and subacute diseases of the rectum.

6. Cooper gland massage. 7. Littre gland massage.

Massage in urology is used in the treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases of the organs of the male reproductive system: the prostate gland, glands of the urethra, seminal vesicles. In these cases, massage contributes to a more complete emptying of the glands from the inflammatory secretion, restoring their tone, and resolving the inflammatory infiltration.

The most common indication for massage is chronic prostatitis. Prostate massage is carried out with the index finger of the right hand, inserted into the rectum in the position of the patient on the right side with knees pulled up to the stomach or in the knee-elbow position; massage lasts 1.5-2 minutes. Finger movements should be soft and directed from the periphery of the gland to its center (corresponding to the course of the seminal ducts, 25). prostate massage is carried out 2-3 times a week, for a course of treatment 10-15 sessions. In the same way, prostate massage is performed with - a diagnostic purpose - to obtain a secret from the prostate gland. In acute prostatitis, massage is categorically contraindicated.

Massage of seminal vesicles in chronic vesiculitis is similar to that described above; only a finger is inserted into the rectum a little deeper. To massage the Cooper glands, the index finger of the right hand is inserted shallowly into the rectum, and the thumb of the same hand produces massaging movements along the perineum in the direction from the anus to the distal urethra. In chronic littreitis, massage of the urethra on the bougie is used (26). In the position of the patient on the back, a straight metal bougie is inserted into the canal, the head of the penis is pulled up with the left hand, and the urethra is massaged with the right hand (thumb and forefinger) in the direction from the root of the penis to its head.

25. Direction of movements (indicated by arrows) when massaging the prostate gland and seminal vesicles: 1 - bladder; 2 - vas deferens; a - seminal vesicle; 4 - prostate gland; 5 - ureter. 26. Massage of the urethra on the bougie.

How to do prostate massage at home?

Massage should be carried out with a full bladder. You will need to urinate immediately after the massage to facilitate the removal of the contents of the prostate gland and seminal vesicles from the body.Qualified urologists recommend the introduction of antiseptic agents, for example, potassium permanganate or furatsilin, into the bladder so that when emptying the urethra is not only washed, but also disinfected.

How to massage the seminal vesicles.

The most comfortable position for finger massage of the seminal vesicles and prostate is called the knee-elbow position. When inserting a finger into the anus, the patient should be in a relaxed state or strain a little.

The first thing is to feel for the prostate gland through a pair of ring-shaped movements, as if circling a transverse figure eight. After that, with small upward movements, feel the seminal vesicles. If the patient has an increase in seminal vesicles or there are congestion in them, then the massage begins with them.

To carry it out, you need to carry out helical movements up and then down from the neck to the top, and then down at a slightly higher speed. First, minimally enhanced movements are carried out, after the third movement, a slightly greater increase can be applied, but if severe pain is felt, then the massage is stopped. At the end of the massage, it is important to relax the patient with two or three soothing movements.

The total number of movements per seminal vesicle is about 12 times. After that, the same set of movements is carried out with the second bubble, and then a half massage of both seminal vesicles.

With gentle finger movements from the beginning to the center, in the direction of the ducts for withdrawal and along the outer circumference of each lobe, and stroking them longitudinally. Three final movements should be carried out along the middle axis of the prostate.

The duration of the massage should be about a minute, after that you should take a break for a couple of minutes and repeat twice more. Sometimes it is possible to carry out one massage with a duration of two minutes. The force applied during the massage is the same as when massaging the seminal vesicles.

At home, massage can be performed if chronic prostatitis is diagnosed, both complicated and uncomplicated, vesiculitis, fertility disorders, copulative disorders, inflammatory processes of the genitals, atonic condition of the prostate gland and seminal vesicles.

As contraindications, one can single out acute and moderately acute prostatitis, the presence of malignant tumors and stone deposits in the prostate gland, tuberculosis of the seminal vesicles or the prostate gland, exacerbation of hemorrhoids, high fever, anal fissures and proctitis.

Hydromassage of the prostate at home.

To perform this type of massage, you will need a half-liter rubber bulb, as well as boiled water, petroleum jelly or liquid soap, and enema solutions.

Performing hydromassage of the seminal vesicles and the prostate gland should be done a couple of hours before bedtime. Before starting, you need to wash the external genitalia, anus and perineum, and also make a cleansing enema. A quarter of an hour after cleansing the intestines, half a liter of a special solution, which is prepared from 1: 10,000 potassium permanganate, 1: 5,000 furacilin and chamomile decoction, should be injected into the rectum with a rubber pear. The solution should be at room temperature. The set volume of liquid can be slightly changed, the main thing is that the urge to defecate appears.

The introduction of liquid into the rectum is the essence of the massage. In this case, there is a chemical, physical and thermal effect on the receptors of the anal region. After this procedure, there is an increase in blood flow, an increase in the tone of muscles, seminal vesicles and intestines, an increase in the flow of secretions from the prostate gland.

For general antibiotic therapy, prostate massage is performed in the hospital. For example, with a finger massage of the prostate gland and seminal vesicles. These treatment procedures for chronic prostatitis are included in the treatment plan, even if a single analysis of the secretion of the prostate gland turned out to be normal. Latent current prostatitis occurs in 30% of diseases. Some authors claim that prostate massage is antiphysiological. However, these opinions are completely unfounded and this publication will discuss how to do prostate massage at home. Most scientists argue that finger massage, in case of a chronic non-specific disease, is very advisable.

Massage is required to be carried out with an unemptied bladder. At the end of the massage, the patient needs to urinate, thereby facilitating the removal of the contents of the seminal vesicles and the prostate gland from the body. Urologists recommend introducing antiseptic agents (furatsilin, potassium permanganate, etc.) into the bladder - this will help to disinfect the urethra at the end of the massage, and not just rinse it.

Massage of seminal vesicles

For finger massage of the prostate and seminal vesicles, the most comfortable position is the knee-elbow position. The patient needs to relax or strain a little when they insert a finger into the anus. First you need to feel the prostate gland, with the help of two ring-shaped movements, in the form of a transversely located eight, after which, on the left and right, with a finger upward, feel the seminal vesicles. If there are congestion in the vesicles or they are enlarged, the massage should be started from the seminal vesicles, for this: carry out helical movements from the neck to the top and faster helical movements down to the base. At first, you need to carry out movements with minimal effort, and from 3 to 6 movements, make efforts, but strong pain should not be allowed. In conclusion, it is necessary to carry out about 3 soothing movements. The total number of movements is approximately 12 times. After that, you need to massage the second seminal vesicle. After completing it, carry out a half massage of both bubbles.

The final 3 movements are carried out along the middle axis of the prostate. The total duration of the massage takes about 1 minute, after which - take a break and repeat 2 more times. It is permissible to conduct only one massage, with a total duration of 2 minutes. Physical effort with this type of massage is about the same as with the massage of the seminal vesicles discussed above.

Indications for the use of Prostate massage at home: vesiculitis, chronic prostatitis (complicated and uncomplicated), atonic condition of the seminal vesicles and prostate gland, fertility disorders and copulative disorders, accompanied by inflammatory processes of the genitals.

Hydromassage of the prostate at home:

To perform this type of massage, you will need: a rubber bulb (500 ml), boiled water, petroleum jelly (liquid soap) and enema solutions.

Perform hydromassage of the seminal vesicles and the prostate gland, it is necessary 2 hours before bedtime. Before him, wash the external genitalia, perineum and anus, make a cleansing enema. After 15 minutes, after cleansing the intestines, inject into the rectum (using a rubber bulb) 0.5 l of a special solution (potassium permanganate 1:10000, furatsilin 1:5000, chamomile decoction). The temperature of the solution should be room temperature. The amount of fluid needed is such that there would be an urge to defecate. If there is no urge, increase the volume of fluid injected, and if it is too strong, reduce it.

The essence of prostate hydromassage is that the rectum is filled with water (antiseptic solution) and physical, chemical and temperature irritation of the receptors of the anal zone occurs. And, as a result, there is an increase in blood circulation, an increase in muscle tone, pelvic floor, intestines and seminal vesicles, an increase in the outflow of secretions from the prostate gland.
