Treatment of prostatitis with Bicillin

In almost all cases of prostatitis, specialists can recommend Bicillin for treatment. This drug successfully fights infections of various origins.

Harmful microorganisms, protozoan infections, viruses, fungi can enter the prostate gland. Each microorganism is eliminated with a specific type of antibiotic. Bicillin treats prostatitis of a certain course.

Recommended manipulations

There is no one antibiotic for all types of microbes, so therapy is selected after examining the existing infection. Getting rid of prostatitis is not easy.

  • This is a long-term therapy that takes a lot of time with some effort. The main action in the treatment of chronic prostatitis is the restoration of the structural form and functioning of the prostate.
  • Based on the patient's clinical picture, a complex therapy with an individual approach to treatment is selected.
  • A full-fledged therapeutic therapy in the chronic course of pathology is possible only after a careful examination of the patient with the collection of a complete anamnesis. Based on this, the specialist selects a complex of active substances for effective treatment.

Bicillin is prescribed for prostatitis strictly after the diagnosis is made. If all the features of the drug in relation to the characteristics of the disease are not taken into account, therapeutic therapy will not be effective. In addition, patients' general well-being worsens with aggravation of the pathological process.

A competent appointment is due to the identification of the stage of pathological inflammation, the peculiarities of its course in each case.

Prostatitis therapy

Medical manipulations are calculated for a period of 1 to 3 months. During treatment, the therapy regimen can be adjusted at the discretion of the attending physician. To do this, a specialized specialist creates a template for treatment therapy for a long period.

  • Chronic prostatitis is treated by eliminating the factors that support the formation of the bacterial flora. In some cases, Bicillin is recommended to cure prostatitis. The agent actively affects pathogenic bacteria, eliminating the inflammatory process, restoring the structure and functionality of the prostate gland;
  • In order to achieve quick effectiveness from therapeutic therapy, the use of various methods is prescribed, which include the intake of all kinds of groups of drugs;
  • antibacterial drugs;
  • drugs of the analgesic group;
  • antispasmodics;
  • using manual therapy;
  • physiotherapy procedures;
  • sedatives with a calming effect.

Antibiotic therapy is considered the most effective technique in the treatment of prostatitis. Prescribing antibacterial agents is possible only for appropriate indications.

For example:

  • periodic relapses of the pathological process;
  • increased severity of the manifestation of the disease.

Bicillin, like other antibiotics, can be prescribed based on the definition of pathogenic flora, which acts as a provocateur for an outbreak of the disease. In the study, due attention is paid to the degree of sensitivity of infection, bacteria, viruses in relation to one or another drug.

All antibiotics have a different degree of overcoming the prostatic barrier, this is associated with their concentration in the prostate, hence the effectiveness of therapy with the effectiveness of the healing process. Such an effect on the pathogenic flora explains the choice of one or another drug, which has the maximum ability to penetrate the prostate gland.

Additional indications for the choice of treatment for prostatitis

When choosing an effective drug that is used to treat prostatitis, preference is given to one that has a wide range of antibacterial effects. This is due to the fact that it is quite difficult to accurately identify the pathogenic microflora that has penetrated the prostate.

Medical manipulations for prostatitis are aimed not only at relieving the process of inflammation, but also at restoring the shape of the tissue of the gland and the mucous membrane of the urethral canal. For this, therapy is prescribed, aimed at eliminating the causative agent of the disease itself.

Pharmacological effects

Bicillin is an antibiotic of the penicillin group, of natural origin. The tool helps to suppress the synthesis of cell membranes and walls of microorganisms. This effect fights the growth and reproduction of the infection.

The agent is active against gram-positive and some gram-negative microorganisms. However, the active substances of the drug cannot fully cope with gram-negative bacteria, viruses, fungi, mycobacteria, protozoa.

The drug is available in powder form for the preparation of solutions intended for intramuscular use.

There are three types of Bicillin:

  • Bicillin - 1. Dosage form containing benzathine benzylpenicillin (300, 600, 1200 thousand units).
  • Bicillin - 3. Dosage form containing benzathine benzylpenicillin, sodium benzylpenicillin salt, novocaine benzyl penicillin salt. The active ingredients are present in the composition in the same amount (200, 400 thousand units).
  • Bicillin - 5. Dosage form containing benzathine, benzylpenicillin, novocaine salt (1200,300000 units).

Bicillin is absorbed very slowly, which explains its long-term penetration into the bloodstream. The action of the drug begins 5-6 hours after administration. The maximum concentration enters the plasma during the day.

Bicillin-3 also has a slow absorption. A single application lasts for a week.

Bitsillin has 5 faster penetration into plasma. The drug enters the bloodstream after a couple of hours, the effect of active substances in the bloodstream is observed for 28 days.

Insignificant doses of Bicillin in the body are transformed, excreted through the kidneys. The drug has the peculiarity of penetration by the placental route into the mammary glands.

When is the use of the drug indicated

Bicillin is recommended for the treatment of the following pathologies:

  • infectious diseases, with sensitivity to drugs of the penicillin group (with prolonged therapy);
  • for the prevention of rheumatism;
  • diseases of ENT organs (pharyngitis (streptococcal), croupous, focal pneumonia, scarlet fever, tonsillitis);
  • face;
  • syphilis, yaws, gonorrhea;
  • infectious prostatitis.

Bicillin is administered intramuscularly. The solution is prepared before the injection itself. The agent is allowed to be diluted with isotonic solutions such as sodium chloride, distilled water, procaine (solution). Before prescribing a drug for administration to a patient, a physician must make a test to exclude possible allergic reactions to this type of antibiotic.

Cases of prostatitis treatment with Bicillin

Treatment of prostatitis with Bicillin is prescribed when an infection is identified that is sensitive to gram-negative microorganisms, such as gonococcal bacillus. The given scheme of therapeutic therapy is especially suitable in the case of emerging prostatitis as a complication after the transfer of gonorrhea.

The use of semi-synthetic penicillins is also recommended:

  • Carfenicillin;
  • Ampicillin;
  • Sul-cillin;
  • Ampiox;
  • Oxacillin.

These drugs have a wider range of effects. It is possible to prescribe drugs of the tetracycline group, which can affect both gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. These include gonococcal bacillus, chlamydia, mycoplasmosis (genital). However, the tetracycline group has a weak effect on Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus, viruses and fungi. The drugs of this group are active with a specific effect in the alkaline area of the inflamed secretion.

The most commonly prescribed drug is Doxycycline.

The next group of antibacterial effects used in the treatment of prostatitis is macrolide.

Highlighted in this group:

  • Josamycin;
  • Eracin;
  • Erythromycin;
  • Rovamycin;
  • Azithromycin;
  • Clarithromycin;
  • Rosaromycin;
  • Devercin;
  • Roxithromycin.

Each drug has its own contraindications and side effects. For example, Bicillin can cause dizziness, tinnitus, diarrhea, nausea, skin reactions, and a number of other unpleasant phenomena. Medicines for the treatment of prostatitis should be selected by a doctor.
