What kind of drug?

Tsiprolet belongs to the group of second generation fluoroquinolones. The active ingredient is ciprofloxacin, which is of synthetic origin. There are no natural analogs of the compound. The main action of the component is to eliminate pathogenic microflora.

Substances of the fluoroquinolone group negatively affect the DNA of parasites, which interferes with their reproduction. Moreover, the component affects not only the active elements, but also those that are at rest. Thanks to this, all organisms leading pathological activity are removed from the body.

Sensitive to Tsiprolet:

  • Enterobacteriaceae;
  • Salmonella;
  • Coccal bacteria;
  • Gram-positive and gram-negative organisms;
  • Intracellular parasites.

The effect of the drug begins about an hour after it enters the body. The mechanism of action is similar to that of antibiotics.

Form of issue and indications

The remedy is produced in various forms, but Ciprolet in the form of tablets is the best for prostatitis. 10 pieces are packed in a blister, placed in a cardboard box. Active ingredient concentration: 250 or 500 mg.

The instructions for use indicate the following indications:

  • Infectious diseases of the ears, nasopharynx, respiratory tract;
  • Lesions of the skin and soft tissues;
  • The presence of parasites in the digestive system;
  • Ophthalmic diseases caused by microbial activity;
  • Sepsis;
  • Gonorrhea;
  • Inflammation of the genitourinary system against the background of an infectious lesion.

In addition, the drug is used to prevent infectious pathologies in patients with low immune defense. Also Tsiprolet is prescribed for anthrax and tuberculosis.

Antimicrobial therapy for inflammation of the prostate gland is required if the following symptoms are present:

  • Sore urine discharge;
  • Severe pain syndrome;
  • Inflammation and swelling;
  • The presence of purulent discharge and blood in the urine;
  • Sexual dysfunction;
  • Reduction of intoxication with substances produced by microorganisms.

Contraindications and possible harm

Synthetic products usually have a list of contraindications, and Tsiprolet is no exception. Treatment is strictly prohibited in the following cases:

  • Age under 18;
  • Intolerance to the components in the composition;
  • Some forms of colitis;
  • Lack of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase in the body.

Under strict medical supervision, therapy is possible with:

  • Atherosclerotic lesions of cerebral vessels;
  • A predisposition to seizures;
  • Epilepsy;
  • Impaired blood circulation in the brain;
  • Psychological syndromes;
  • Liver or renal failure.

Elderly men should also be wary of medication.

Despite the fact that Ciprolet was designed with the need for long-term use in mind, excessively prolonged treatment sometimes causes side effects:

  • Diarrhea, abdominal pain, flatulence;
  • Nausea that turns into vomiting;
  • Change in vision, smell, taste;
  • Weakness;
  • Migraines and dizziness, rarely fainting;
  • Feverish condition;
  • Skin rash, burning and itching sensations;
  • Sleep disturbances;
  • High sweating;
  • A sharp change in blood pressure;
  • Heart rhythm disorder.

It is categorically impossible to combine the reception with alcoholic beverages. It is also not recommended to combine the medicine with anticoagulants - the likelihood of bleeding increases. Antacids and medicines based on aluminum, zinc, iron ions slow down the absorption rate of the active component.

How to take Tsiprolet for prostatitis?

When prescribing treatment for prostatitis with Tsiprolet, the urologist calculates the dosage and duration of the course, based on the general condition of the patient, the characteristics of the course of the disease, and age. Usually, for acute and chronic prostatitis, a daily intake of 500 mg is recommended. It is shown to divide it into 2 doses and drink a pill in the morning and in the evening.

An extremely severe form of the disease is treated by increasing a single dosage to 500 mg (respectively, 1000 mg per day). In the presence of diagnosed liver and kidney pathologies, the daily dose should be reduced to 250 mg.

Relief occurs after 2-3 days, after which the symptoms continue to decrease until they disappear completely.

A few days after the start of admission, a second visit to the urologist is required. If there is a steady positive trend, it is necessary to start taking the medicine in a dosage reduced by 2 times. The course of treatment after lowering the rate is about a week.

Effectiveness of treatment

Tsiprolet is prescribed in situations where standard antibiotic therapy does not work or microorganisms are resistant to the active substances of antibacterial drugs. The drug becomes an excellent solution for the treatment of inflammatory processes in the prostate gland also because it keeps the intestinal microflora normal, and there is no addiction to it.

According to patient reviews, 2-3 days are enough to change the state of health for the better. First of all, urination is restored and pain syndrome disappears. Further more! It all depends on the cause that caused the prostatitis.

Tsiprolet is dispensed only with a prescription filled out by a doctor. The drug can be stored for up to 3 years, provided that the pack is placed in a dry and cool place.
