A Special Set Of Exercises To Strengthen The Pelvic Muscles

In 1952, American gynecologist Arnold Kegel made a great contribution to medicine by creating a set of exercises for women. Kegel exercises, as they were later called, were supposed to help in the prenatal and postnatal periods to put in order the weakened pelvic muscles located at the bottom of the abdominal cavity. The body is so arranged that in ordinary life these muscles are almost not involved, and over time they cease to be elastic, and this is fraught with complications from the pelvic organs, in the end, it can damage your sex life.

Exercise quickly became popular among young women, but not only! Later, experts appreciated the doctor's innovation and came to the conclusion that such a complex of gymnastic exercises would be useful for men suffering from prostatitis and prostate adenoma; Kegel classes will also help in the restoration of partially lost erectile function.

Kegel exercises for men

Pelvic floor muscle training helps a man maintain bladder control. With prostatitis and prostate adenoma, one of the main symptoms is frequent urination. Sometimes a sick person cannot reach the toilet, as involuntary urine flow begins. Longer workouts are effective by increasing muscle tone.

The pelvic floor muscle is located under the penis and scrotum. During urination, you must try to strain it, then urine will cease to be secreted. This exercise must be done several times during one urination. After a man feels that he is able to control a muscle, that he is under his control, the exercise can be performed as many times a day as you like, and you can do it whenever and wherever. Nobody will bother anyone. After contracting the muscle, try to keep it in tension for about five seconds, then you need to relax for a short time, and then resume the workout. You can do up to 20 repetitions at a time. And so - at least three times a day.

To prevent prostatitis, the exercise is performed as follows: the muscles of the rectum (anus) are compressed. After compression, you need to relax them. This should be repeated 10 to 20 times in one "approach". The exercise should be done at least three times a day. It is easy to choose the place and time of it, since it does not depend on anyone - only on the man's desire to get better as soon as possible.

When doing the exercises, it is necessary to observe several rules - do not hold your breath, at the same time do not "help" yourself with the tension of the abdominal muscles, buttocks or thighs. When doing it, it will help a man if he imagines that the muscle rises up

Many patients have noted that exercise makes life easier with BPH. It must be performed regularly, every day, and not from time to time. At first, it will be difficult to do it many times in a row, but you can start with 5-7 contractions, then their number will easily increase to 15-20 times. Three times a day this is a sufficient number of classes. Exercises can be performed in any comfortable position - standing in line or at a bus stop, lying on the couch, sitting at the computer. Prerequisite: Do not exercise with a full bladder.

Working with muscles has a beneficial effect on erection and helps to increase the duration of intercourse.

Exercise Harm

In a small number of men, prostatitis is accompanied by chronic pelvic pain syndrome. In this case, Kegel classes will only harm, since muscle tension will provoke even more pain in the pelvic area.

Activity restrictions

Therapeutic exercises cannot be used during any inflammatory processes in the small pelvis, with varicose veins, not only in the small pelvis, but also on the legs; in the presence of postpartum hemorrhage, it also excludes the possibility of performing exercises according to the Kegel system, as well as with hypertension, with sutures - on the perineum, cervix, vagina, with cancerous tumors.

Before starting classes, be sure to consult a doctor.

Kegel exercises for hemorrhoids

It is known that both men and women suffer from hemorrhoids. Therefore, training the pelvic muscles is beneficial to both. Hemorrhoids appear, as a rule, quite suddenly, as people who have fallen ill with them believe, but in fact, for two reasons - due to chronic constipation and a sedentary lifestyle.

To fight constipation, you need to improve your diet

The second factor influencing the development of the disease is a lack of movement, which leads to congestion in the small pelvis, slowed circulation and the formation of hemorrhoids due to the expansion of the cavernous veins. Blood clots may form. The function of the sphincter of the anus is weakened. For this reason, the nodes fall out.Sedentary work contributes to the occurrence of hemorrhoids, but you can't change your job, which means you need to change your passive habits to walk more, ride a bike, and work out in the gym. This applies to the period of treatment for hemorrhoids, and to its prevention.

Kegel gymnastics has become an important set of physical exercises to help heal hemorrhoids.

In a prone position, bend your knees, with your feet resting on the floor. In this position, try to tighten the muscles of the perineum strongly for 5 seconds. Then relax. Repeat 10 times. Having mastered the exercise, it can later be performed both standing and sitting.

It is possible that the first time you will not be able to perform high-quality gymnastics, and it will take a lot of effort, but over time it turns out that it is not so difficult. The body quickly gets used to following the commands of the owner or hostess. No wonder there is such a thing as muscle memory.

The listed exercises cannot be performed during an exacerbation of the disease, but only after the pain subsides. Important: with hemorrhoids, perform just such exercises! In no case should you engage in lifting weights, exclude deep squats. Muscle training will bring tangible benefits, the hemorrhoids will recede. First, the intervals between exacerbations will increase and the bumps will stop falling out, then, with intense exercise, it is possible to achieve a complete cure.
